Your journal is yours, and that includes the right to erase it. You can delete your Fojo account and everything in it at any time — instantly from inside the app, or by asking us if you no longer have it installed.
From inside the app (instant)
The fastest way is to do it yourself. Open Fojo and go to Settings → Delete journal & data. Confirm, and your account is removed right away — no waiting, and no need to email us.
By request (if you can't open the app)
Deleted the app, lost access to your device, or can't sign in? Email us at fojo.support@gmail.com from the email address on your account — or, if you signed in with Apple or Google, the address tied to that login — and ask us to delete it. A real person handles the request. We'll confirm your identity, erase everything, and email you when it's done, within 30 days and usually much sooner.
What gets deleted
Deleting your account permanently removes:
- Your journal— every day, every entry, the food and drink you logged, the estimated nutrition, day titles, and the conversation on each day's page.
- Any photos you took of your plates.
- Your profile — name, age, biological sex, height, weight, goals, and any notes you wrote.
- Your account — your email and any Apple or Google sign-in linked to it.
The removal cascades across our database, so nothing is left behind. Deletion is permanent and can't be undone, so save anything you want to keep first. Records in routine backups are purged on their normal cycle, within 30 days.
A copy before you go
If you'd like a copy of your data before deleting, or have any other question about it, write to fojo.support@gmail.comand we'll help. See our Privacy Policy for the full picture of what we keep and why.
